Friends

Gordon told Ellis that he would share his water bottle with him while we were at the park. Ellis wrapped his arms around Gordon and said, "Gordon, you are my best friend!"

Reading

School began on Monday. The first thing Jared said when he got in the house from school was, "Mom, how many hours can I read tonight?"

Daddy's Games

Seth likes to play little "games" with the kids. The other day the kids and I were driving somewhere and Jared said, "When I am a grown up, if I can remember, I will play games on the kids I get like daddy does." After a minute he told me, "The easiest one will be the 'Leave without Mommy' game."

(When everyone is in the car except for me, Seth likes to ask the kids if they should go without Mommy and then pretends like he is going to.)

Experiment

We went to a friend's baptism on Sunday. Mia was having a hard time holding still. I told her that she needed to listen to the speaker. She turned to me and said, "Why? So I can have some experiment when it is my turn?"

Wet Bed

Gordon wet the bed the other night and was wearing a diaper. When he got up he told me, "My tummy peeded the bed."

Hair

At Jared's baptism, Gordon was looking around at every one that came. He leaned over to me and said, "Everybody has a lot of hair except my dad!"

Feet

Tonight while I was brushing Ellis' teeth I said, "You have really cute feet." Ellis said, "I don't have cute feet. I have BIG feet. To kick people!"

The Ghost

We went to Jeremy's baptism yesterday and during the confirmation, Jeremy was given the gift of the Holy Ghost. As soon as Jason said that, Ellis whispered to me, "Mom. He's got the ghost." He kept saying this a little louder and a little louder until I responded to him that Jeremy did indeed have the Ghost.
